Daily Deviation Suggestion Drive!Back By Popular Demand!
In January of 2012, the community was challenged by `thorns to do something about their complaints on dA. Thus was born this very group! But before the group, it was just a fledgling idea on `Kneeling-Glory's account that began with a DD Suggestion Contest. The results of that contest were overwhelming. And so, under the prodding of quite a few Community Volunteers, we're going to do it again!

UPDATE: Less than 1 week in and we've already got 100 suggested DDs and 2 accepted suggestions!!

Drawings and Paintings Makeover Part IIHello dear Digital Art community!
First than anything, thank you so much to all of you who have given your thoughts in the Gallery Makeover discussion about Digital Drawings & Paintings posted a few weeks ago.
Before I pass your ideas to $Moonbeam13 I wanted to make a recap once again of the points that were raised during said discussion.
Remember that these are just ideas, this doesn't mean it's guaranteed they'll happen
Eliminate sub-categories for Graffiti and People
People mentioned they're not really that necessary and they could work without the sub-categories or at least eliminate those that are redundant, like People > Fantasy and People > Sci-Fi, since we already have those categories outside People.
In the case of Graffiti, if you browse this category you'll notice at least half

It has been an exciting month for our model stock artists, as you will see at their stock. Overall I think there is a wide choice for all your artistic needs, so I suggest to get your imagination caps on and go create! However, if you don't see the exact thing you're looking for, I suggest to pay a visit at the galleries of the stock artists, to have a more specific look at their offers.
And as always: Follow the rules of each individual stock provider.

Displaying JournalsOn your page you can have the Featured Deviation Widgets where you can display your favourite Deviations from your Gallery.
Also you can use them to display your Journals. Here is how to do that:

#1 All you have to do is edit the Widget by clicking on the little Pencil icon

Normally you would get the following:

#2 Here you have to click on the Choose A Deviation button.

#3 In the Search field you should type in one of your Journal's title and your Features, Interviews or other.
Of course at first your deviations are showing up and you can select one, but if you type in anything elso to the field, everything related to it comes up.
Pick the one you would like to be displayed.
Important: You have to change to Normal View (if you have Premium Membership) b

Not So Traditional Tuesdays #16Well, 16 of these and 52 of the other feature journals, not too bad! This wasn't something I that had I planned on doing. Originally this was just a one off article because I was bored one day, and started typing in random search words. It is still fun to do though, so I think it will keep going until it no longer is.
I like to think that the things that make one piece of art great applies, for the most part, to other genres. A painter can learn how light and shadow fall from photography, photo-manipulators can learn about composition from a great Manga drawing, and literature can give you the inspiration to try something new or take your work to the next step. You may never try all art forms you see! You can however take what you learn from them and incorporate that into your own work. It could be the difference between stagnating and that breakthrough every artist wants to find! Now on with the show!
